Pinot Noir: ST, International Wine Cellar 91-93 pts "Good red-ruby. Plum, currant, blackberry, violet, spices, smoked meat and rose petal; this one shows all the Beze food groups. Densely packed and dry, with terrific breed and enticing floral lift. Still a bit youthfully closed but boasts subtle building sweetness, and complex tones of spices, flowers and soil. I find this easier to taste today than the Bonnes-Mares. Finishes suave, pure and long, with a peppery lift that really stimulates the taste buds."

Grenache: RP 92-94 pts "As for the Domaine du Pegau estate wines, the 2006 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Reservee was tasted from multiple foudres, and appears to be better than the 2005 and 2004. The 2006 exhibits gamy, meaty, new saddle leather, kirsch liqueur, black currant, pepper, lavender, and spice notes. The wine is full-bodied, rich, deep, and long."
