Vincenzo Abbruzzese's changes to his grandparents' winery have earned Valdicava a spot among the elite producers of Brunello di Montalcino. In addition to tending ten hectares of vines in one of the cooler parts of Montalcino, Vincenzo has also rebuilt his grandparent's cellar, replacing the huge botti with stainless steel vats and oak casks. His single vineyard "Riserva Madonna del Piano" was one of the first cru riserva Brunello ever produced.
