In our fifteenth year, the single winemaker who we have lived with, grown with, laughed with, drank with, and admired the most is Giovanni Manetti. Perhaps no winemaker in the world makes wine of greater quality across a broader spectrum than Giovanni at Fontodi.

In order to celebrate our new digs and to BLAST into the Fall, we are ECSTATIC to announce a rare retrospective of one of the most classic, age-worthy, collectible, and simply delicious wines in the world: FONTODI FLACCIANELLO

Join us in our phenomenal new farm room for a rollicking affair including a tasting of an unheard-of 26 vintages of FLACCIANELLO alongside an artisanal 5-course menu with classic Bistecca Alla Fiorentina in hommage to the herd of Chianina that Giovanni has on the farm. Vintages included are the seminal offerings of 1990, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2006, 2010, 2012, and of course the MONUMENTAL 100 Point 2016.

I don’t think I have ever met a serious Italian collector who didn’t consider FLACCIANELLO to be one of the most benchmark representations of Sangiovese AND overwhelming values in the world. Fontodi is simply first class.
